We are always looking for dedicated volunteers, and there are so many ways to get involved. Volunteer opportunities for teens, adults, corporate or youth groups are described below.
BE A VOLUNTEER
TEEN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
- Summer Floater – help with classrooms, lunch, break, etc.
- After School Classroom Assistant: Assist program facilitators with curriculum, arts and crafts, copies and printing needs.
- Special Events
- Assist program staff with special center events and activities throughout the year
- Assist with Girls Inc.’s Father Daughter Banquet fundraiser
- Assist with Girls Inc.’s Mother Daughter Tea fundraiser
- Homework Help/Tutors for girls ages 5 to 14
- Reading Helpers for girls in grades K-3rd.
ADULT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
- Special Programs: Share your interests, hobbies or skills by leading or assisting with an activity (crafts, piano, gardening, photography, etc.)
- Summer Camp Assistant: Monitor and spend time with the girls during lunch hour; Lead/participate in recreational sports; assist staff with summer programming. Assist with set up/clean up, activities, program facilitation, and other needed areas. Chaperone field trips.

- Assist with Girls Inc.’s Mother Daughter Tea fundraiser
- SupHERvision
This one-on-one mentorship program pairs girls with Girls Inc. staff and volunteers who will keep them accountable in completing their schoolwork, providing support, motivation and role modeling. A commitment is required from volunteers to ensure a consistent schedule. - Homework Help/Tutors for girls ages 5 to 14.
- Reading Helpers for girls in grades K-3rd.
- Career Speakers – share your career experience with our middle school girls.
- Rock n Roll BINGO Volunteers – Held the 2nd Tuesday of the month (January – October). Help staff welcome customers at the door, pass out prizes, and other duties to ensure the event is a success.
CORPORATE GROUP OPPORTUNITIES
You and your company’s support and involvement are what truly change the lives of our girls. Your time, talent and passion can make a world of difference in a young girl’s life. Opportunities include:
- Career/ Educational Workshops – Engage girls in having fun while learning about your business practice through hands-on activities. Create a workshop geared towards a specific age group that shares your hobby or passion.
- Career Panels and Mock Interviews – Sit on a career panel or participate in mock interviews. You, along with a small group of individuals, have the opportunity to share your story, interviewing skills, and professional tips with our girls.
- Drives – Host a drive to collect items like school supplies, incentives, feminine products or other wish list items.
- Program Sponsor – Help fund a field trip, program or special activity for the girls. Provide necessary program materials through an in-kind donation.
- Organize a Beautification Project
