Girls Inc. of Dothan is so happy and proud to announce that we have received a Wiregrass Foundation Challenge grant through the United Way for $21,962!! This grant provides much needed funding that will allow us to fix over 70 light fixtures throughout our 13,000 square foot building, install vinyl siding on our front porch and new gutters, as well as to put a new roof on the main building!
For the past few years, the Wiregrass Foundation has donated $400,000 to the Wiregrass United Way if they meet their annual campaign goal. All Wiregrass United Way agencies can submit proposals for capital improvement projects through this Challenge Grant. This is the third time that Girls Inc. has been awarded this grant, and we thank the Wiregrass Foundation, and Wiregrass United Way staff and volunteers that worked so hard this year on the campaign to make this funding available to United Way agencies.
Pictures of improvements will be posted soon so check back often!
